100th Comic!
- By Bogey on February 13th, 2009Hey everyone, today’s comic is my 100th comic! Honestly, it feels anticlimatic to me because I draw my comics well in advance- today’s comic was actually drawn on December 24th of 08. So I am actually almost 2 months of ahead of my posting times.
But, I hope everyone has enjoyed the comics so far. I plan on doing many many more, so keep on reading. So far you have read about cavemen, orchestra directors, music comics, dinosaurs playing jazz, Hitler, the KKK, religious, the devil, giraffes, animals taking steroids to win races, the leading causes of monkey deaths, the struggles of X’s relationship with O’s, the dangers of second hand timpani sound, the future of rock paper scissors, a heartfelt snowman comic, pricks, and much much more.
Here are some notes about some of them:
- Skins- this was my very first comic that I drew. Very different looking from what they look like now (went from looking terrible to terriblissimo).
- Paper Towels are Trees- my wife hates this one.
- Hitler Pivotal Moment- I really thought I was going to get struck down from my readers on this one, but from what I’ve heard you guys really like this one. Thanks.
- Electric Fence Whisperer- I really liked this one. My pastor told me it was alright and that you can’t win them all. Awesome.
- 110 Percent- My first redo. I first drew this with the text of ‘Damn it Johnson.’ I went back and changed it the day before because I just didn’t feel comfortable having a curse word in the comic, even if it is one of the softer ones. Damn it.
- KKK Three’s Company- This is one of my favorites. Not to float my own boat but I really like the message that this comic sends- don’t look at the differences in the people around you, but instead look at what you have in common. These two just happened to like Three’s Company. Who wouldn’t?
- Caught Reading- this is another one of my favorites. No special message with this one- just a couple of books romping it up.
- Mommy Kissing Santa Claus- I really struggled with this one. I kept going back and forth with how to draw. I was faced with a dilemma- I didn’t want to draw anything too dirty in the picture, however there are in fact people romping it up. So I was stuck at how to draw it. I had an original version where Santa had the mom in his arms and she was giving him this sexy look and he was saying “ho, ho, ho”. It was not good.
Anyway, here’s to 100 more and plenty more after that. Thanks for reading and please keep telling your friends and family about Matter of Fact.
