Today’s Comic
- By Bogey on June 22nd, 2009I usually don’t like to explain comics when I put them out, however I feel like it would be best to explain how I came to today’s comic’s theme. I originally thought of the theme when I was watching my stepson, Daniel, playing on a playground in a mall. When we let him play at any playground he inevitably starts playing with one other kid, as most kids do. As good of friends Daniel and this other kid may become there is a 99.999999 percent chance that when we leave that playground they will never see each other again. In a way, I thought this was kind of sad- being able to play with someone so well and get along so well that you never see them again (if only we parents would be more social and get each others’ phone numbers to set up play-dates).
So that is the premise of today’s comic. These two guys are walking along the city streets going to work and as they walk past each other they instantly recognize each other and remember the time they spent together 42 years earlier, even if was for only a brief 20 minutes.
BAM! And there is your Pixar short film synopsis.

Unless you live in the remotest home in the city, why do parents need to set up playdates. We seemed to be able to find friends that lived nearby.
That would ideal. We live just outside of Orlando, FL and it takes forever to drive to places.
